LCCPrays – 40 days to the Cross

Categories: Bible,Blog Posts,Church

As March begins, so does the season of preparation by Christians called Lent. Lent is the period of 40 days which comes before Easter in the Christian calendar. Beginning on Ash Wednesday (March 1st), Lent is a season of reflection and preparation before the celebrations of Easter. By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians remember Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. Whether you call it Lent or not isn’t the point. Preparing and anticipating the Easter season is!

The daily text called “LCCPrays” will spend the next 40 days on this focus as well, to help prepare us together for the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each text will contain a short thought, scripture, or prayer to help focus on the Lord.
