The Ball was Jumpin', so was I

 It was the craziest baseball game I've ever been to.

This last Friday, I had the great pleasure of taking our Youth Group to Texas Rangers baseball game in Arlington. If you haven't been following the Rangers (shame on you by the way :D), they have been doing really great this year, and this particular night they were playing the Boston Redsox, which is a particular fan favorite. It was a sellout crowd, and it had the feel of a playoff game (something rarely tasted by Rangers fans).

We Shine

We came, we played, we laughed, we memorized, we grew, and we shined. This year's LCC Sports and More was another great event for LCC. As we have done before, we put on a variety sports camps and other activities tied into learning about God. Over 100 kids came to LCC Sports and More and we raised over $600 for goats for our church partners in Haiti, but that was only part of the excitement.

Last month, over 120 kids learned what it means to "Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you SHINE like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life."

Women's Retreat 2010

At our women's retreat, Still, starting to stop...., God was moving in the ladies of LCC in an amazing way!
