There is always room in the family

The all church Catfish Fry on Sunday evening, April 11, was perfect way to glimpse the Longview Christian Church family. It truly was a family gathering.  We gathered together to eat, visit and enjoy one another's company. Many, many thanks to all the guys who cooked all that fish, chicken and fixins.

To accommodate this growth the elders have decided to start a second Sunday morning service. The Sunday morning schedule will be: 8:00 AM Worship; 9:45-10:45AM Foundation Studies; 11:00 AM Worship.

Heart for Haiti

We have gathered some money to take to directly to a local Haitian Missionary.  He will use the money to help those in need both in the church and outside of it.  Three men from LCC have volunteered to fly down, and deliver the money in cash.  They'll stay for about a week to help in whatever ways they can.

Peace on Earth...Really?

I know this is kind of a "give away" for the Christmas Eve service, but I thought it would be good to ponder Christmas in light of the message of peace on earth.  We are singing a beautiful version of "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" arranged by Casting Crowns for the service, complete with an "angel choir".
