Real God, Messy People, Changed Lives

Messiness
Everyone of us go through life looking for purpose and reason to explain it all. In fact sometimes in our lives, everything seems like it’s a mess. We wander from one thing to next making the same mistakes over and over. There are days when you wonder if you’ll ever figure out life and all of its uncertainties. The great news is that you are normal. We all have messes in our lives in one way or another, and every single one of us falls so short of what we were meant to be.
Falling Short
Fall short of what, you might ask? We all have a sense of falling short of what God intended us to be, even though we may not know the guidelines that He lays out in His word, the Holy Bible. God is real, wonderful, and perfect. Because of this, every time that we do something wrong we separate ourselves from Him. He cannot be in the presence of our imperfection, this explains the “something’s missing” feelings that we all have.
Good News
The good news is this: God has executed a plan that saves us, and changes our lives, and restores hope for an eternal future. God did this by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to live here on earth. Jesus Christ came as God in the flesh and was martyred as a perfect sacrifice to pay the price for our wrongdoings. Without him, we have to pay the price of being left away from God, but Christ came so that we could return. Now that we are back in a relationship with God, our lives change to reflect a life that understands God’s love and sacrifice.
That is what we are about here at LCC: Getting to know a real God that loves messy people, and changes our lives anyway.
If you still don’t understand it all, that is ok. We are all in a process of understanding this concept. Join us as we seek to know God better, and this plan by which we were rescued.
