LIHN

LIHN, Longview Interfaith Hospitality Network, is an extension of IHN of Family Promise, and brings shelter, meals, and support services to families without homes.

LIHN is a cost-efficient, effective, and replicable community response to family homelessness. Because they make use of existing community resources, they can be implemented quickly, without major start-up costs.

We are active participants in that network. We host those in need of a place to stay at our church here on a rotational basis. There are many people that help out with this ministry, but there are always ways for people to get involved.

We can always use help in the following areas:

• Preparing Meals for the families
• Setting up the building for guests
• Staying the night to help monitor/minister
