Rent-A-Teen Student Fundraiser
Hello LCC Family,
The High School Youth Group will be making a trip to Tennessee in the summer of 2009 for a super summer conference called MOVE. It is formerly know as the CIY conference. This youth conference is a tremendous time for our youth to grow spiritually, grow as a unit, and learn about God's word. The trip has been a huge success in the past because of the prayers and generosity of the LCC family. We want to share with you about an upcoming fundraiser THIS Saturday.
One of our most successful fund raising events is called Rent-A-Teen. This has been a great way for LCC to show its generosity, but we have seen some room for improvement. In the past Rent-A-Teen's format was an event where you had a chance to rent teens to do work at some future time after the rental event. Unfortunately, many rentors found it hard to schedule time with the youth they rented and at times never actually were able to get the work accomplished they had planned to let the youth help them with We do not want to have this trend continue so we have made some tweaks to the Rent-A-Teen format!
The new format will have the renters come to the church auditorium this Saturday at 10AM to rent a youth for a day's worth of work. The difference from years past is that you actually get to take the youth home with you right after you finish renting to get your work done.
Is your yard full of leaves? Do you need baby sitters for a days worth of shopping for your kids? Need some help around the house?
Well, come up to LCC this Saturday at 10 with your check book and take a teen home with your for the day.
If you miss your opportunity this week, then there will be 2 other Rent-A-Teen events early in the new year of 2009.
