Introducing OneBody

LCC would like to introduce OneBody. OneBody is an online network developed for LCC to be a place where our community can connect with one another. At a glance, OneBody is an online directory, but it does much, much more. Below you will find some of the key features we're excited about, and a process for getting plugged in.

 

Directory

OneBodyconnects with our local database here that we use to keep up with everyone's information, to keep all of our information centralized and simplified. It keeps basic information like phone numbers, emails, and addresses. It also allows everyone to have a personal picture and a family picture to help people put a face with a name. You can even print the director with or without pictures.

Privacy

OneBody also allows everyone to have control over how much personal information is available to other OneBody users. They can designate all, none, or parts of their profile to be hidden. All children under the age of 16 are automatically hidden from everyone, but church administrators for the system.

Groups

We're excited about the possibilities of the Groups Feature. We can create all sorts of groups and organize them into how our Church Body is structured. These groups allow people to stay connected within the group. They can leave prayer requests, send emails, post updates, keep a calendar (Google Calendar), keep attendance, and post pictures. These groups also operate as a distribution list. A group can be given an email that allows your group to send out emails and allow users to direct how they receive them. We'll probably have one large group that serves as our all church updates list, and everyone can select how they receive those updates. Again, not all groups will use all of these functions, but the features are available.

Tour

To help you learn this new tool, the system has an automated tour that will help introduce each person to all the features.

Further Features

There are many other features that we can all get to know which include: Sharing Pictures, Sharing Verses, Sharing Recipes, Posting Blogs (personal updates and notes), Create Friends, Share Notes, and more.

Login

Anyone who is an active participant in the LCC community is welcome to join the online network. Here are the easy steps to get signed up:

  1. Click the link to sign up: http://lcc.beonebody.com/account/new
  2. Choose and click how you would like to verify. If you know the email address we probably have on file that's probably easiest.
  3. Once you receive an email follow the link. (Only click link ONCE)
  4. Enter desired password, and you ready to go.
  5. Make sure to check your information and update if necessary.
