Veteran's Day

Today is a day set aside in our country to pause and honor those who have served in one of the branches of the military. Throughout this day, we want to encourage you to take any opportunity you have to thank those who have served and pray for those families who have lost loved ones through their service. Make a phone call to a relative who has served or just thank the neighbor who you know recently returned from a deployment.

We also have several families at Longview Christian Church who have family members currently serving the military and are deployed in areas of the world that are very dangerous. But, as you saw recently, even bases on our soil cannot be 100% safe. So, we simply want to ask that you pray for those currently serving and their families.

We are very thankful for the sacrifice many have made for the sake of protecting our country. As a body of believers in Jesus Christ, remember your encouragement and appreciation is one way that you can share His love with those who have served.
