Heart for Haiti
Frantz Previl and his wife Rhode, they are native to Haiti, and his Dad was a minister in Haiti for years. A lady from the US saw the Lord's potential in Fa Fa and payed his way to collage where he developed his English skills and developed sound theological doctrine. He has people supporting him personally, and I have stayed in Haiti on two different trips at his house. Last I heard they had started 9 churches officially, but that number could be up to around 13. He has seminars every year to teach men to be ministers, and they go out and tell people about the Lord. Eventually, these mentors start a church in that area, with no building at all.
My wife and I had the privilege of watching the Head witch doctor, at one of these churches, get baptized after excepting the Lord. There were 3 Witch doctors in that area, and when they first went there, they told Fa Fa they would kill him if he came back. Years later there is a Church right where they use to perform voo doo.
Needless to say, the work that Fa Fa is doing is tremendous. We have gathered some money to take to directly Fa Fa. He will use the money to help those in need both in the church and outside of it. Three men from LCC have volunteered to fly down, and deliver the money in cash. They'll stay for about a week to help in whatever ways they can.
We are hoping to take as much resources as we can gather together. Another church has joined our effort as well as a local business. Please give above and beyond to support this relief effort. The money is going to real Haitians who could use the help, and it won't get caught up in administrative costs and such. Please mark all gifts for this effort with "Haiti". Gifts can be mailed to or dropped off at the LCC Office or the offering plate during the Worship Gathering.
