LCC Hearts of Service

Matthew 25:40 – The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

At LCC, we desire to represent the Lord Jesus Christ as we serve each other, our community, and globally.  The Hearts of Service Team exists to provide leadership in the area of service for LCC and the Longview community.  The members of the Hearts of Service team will lead by serving and by identifying service needs.

If you are interested in serving within any of the following areas, please contact the office at 903-758-6868 or office@longviewchristian.com.

LIHN – Longview Interfaith Hospitality Network

Providing immediate needs and ministry to local homeless families.

Ten churches in the Longview area partner with LIHN to provide food and shelter for our area’s homeless “families with children” …. LCC is one of those churches.

LCC Hearts of Service, through Longview Interfaith Hospitality Network, assists familieis with children who are experiencing the crisis of homelessness and helps them regain their self-sufficiency.

Heartbeat Day of Service

A one day annual event designed to serve those in need within our congregation and partnering with ministries to serve others in our community.

Serving LCC

Many of our more mature, single person, and single parent families need help with common maintenance and repair issues in their homes.  Heartbeat Day of Service allows others within our congregation to give needed assistance while showing the love of Christ through service.

Serving Our Community

LCC has partnered with area ministries to extend our resources in service to others within our community.  In previous years we have provided both on-going ministry services, as well as focused support during Heartbeat Day of Service.

Other Hearts of Service Ministries

Communion Ministry – For those unable to participate in regular worship services, the team offers to bring communion to their home.

Meal Support Ministry – They facilitate meal support during times of personal loss or family crisis situations when Care Groups are not able to meet that need.

Family Support Ministry – For those times when special support or assistance is needed for LCC families.
