Frequently Asked Questions
What is a “Kingdom Worker”? Over the last decade CIY has presented the idea that every believer in Christ is called to participate in bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. Sometimes that means a call to be full time ministry, but CIY uses the bulk of our time together showing that there are an infinite number of ways to be a Kingdom Worker. Many students come home from CIY Move excited to use their gifts and talents to further the Kingdom. We as a Youth Ministry do our best to engage that together.
Is this a church camp? This event takes place at a summer camp; so, in a lot of ways, the facilities are like a traditional church camp. The programming is completely created and run by CIY. The small groups and discussion times are run by LCC, so while it’s a big conference, youth will mostly be engaging with LCC’s youth group.
How much spending money will a student need? Extra spending money can be spent on souvenirs (conference shirt) and snacks.
Is there financial aid available? We have several individuals in the church willing to offer scholarships.
Where do students stay? We stay in the dormitories or cabins of the camp.
