Mike Skelton

Lead Minister

Mike joined the staff of LCC as Lead Minister in September 2016. He has been married since 2008 to his college sweetheart, Courtney. Mike and Courtney have a 4 year old son, Finn. He had been serving the local church in various roles for the past decade in both small towns and large cities. He was a 6th Grade teacher at Covenant Academy, a Christian Classical school, in Cypress, TX. Before that, Mike served at Cy-Fair Christian Church in Houston for 7 years overseeing the High School ministry for a multi-site church. Mike and Courtney graduated from Dallas Christian College and enjoy camping and backpacking.

Troy Bayne

Community Minister

Troy has been on staff at Longview Christian since 2006 and feels blessed to serve with such an amazing group of believers in Christ whose excitement about God’s work is contagious. Troy’s focus is to help individuals and families connect with the LCC community through many different discipleship opportunities. Troy desires to see people long to know Christ and to become more like Him through this part of His body. Before coming on staff, Troy worked for 17 years as a computer analyst at Eastman Chemical Company and has been involved at LCC since its beginning in 1991. Troy and his wife Judy have been married since 1989, have three married daughters and eight awesome grandkids. Troy and Judy love to spend time with their family and to go on adventures together!

Kathe Suchan

Children's Minister

Kathe (pronounced Katie) has been the Children’s Minister since September of 2019. In this role she serves the families and children of LCC through coordinating classes and activities for children from birth through 5th grade. One of her favorite things is watching children learn about Jesus and come to love Him with their whole heart. She is committed to helping families grow in their knowledge and love of God through studying the Bible and having fun together. Her most cherished calling is being a wife to David and a mother to their three sons and daughter-in-law. David and Kathe have been married since 1998 and have attended LCC since 2008. She enjoys cheering on her family in their various activities, cooking, and reading or crocheting.

Jarred Wineinger

Worship Leader

Jarred Wineinger is the most recent addition to the staff serving as Worship Leader. While new to the staff, Jarred and his wife, Amber have been an active part of LCC for many years and have three wonderful sons. Jarred has a heart for worship, mixed with amazing talent as a musician, facilitating the growth of a healthy worship team. Jarred is gifted at incorporating various vocalists, instruments, and styles of music. He leads with humility and invites others to be involved and to grow in their worship, not just on Sundays, but in daily life.

Ruth Stoddard

Administrative Assistant

Ruth has been on staff since December 2015. Ruth helps to coordinate and oversee many administrative aspects in the life of our congregation. In addition to that, she has the challenging responsibility of keeping the ministers on task. Ruth and her husband Kevin have been married 48 years, have 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-law and 12 grandchildren.

Elders

The Elders of LCC spend time in prayer together seeking God’s guidance for this congregation as we all grow to be like Christ. The Elders oversee the general direction of the ministry of the congregation, see that the property of the congregation is maintained, and seek God for His plans for this congregation now and in the future. The day-to-day ministry is the responsibility of the staff ministers.
